Farewells are not fun :(

First of all, check out these videos if you haven't seen them before...
Actually, tonight ABC news was even talking about Matt Harding (the guy dancing in the video).. guess he's getting some fame out of all his dancing! Anyway, I just liked it, so enjoy. Some of the teachers from orientation last week got the idea to make our video once we all go to our respective countries, so if we actually get that compiled, you will certainly know about it.

Also, here are some pictures of my going away/farewell party that my family threw for me this past weekend. It was a lot of fun and I actually kept it together all day! It was really good to see some friends from school again, plus lots of family friends.

Friends from Penn State, plus Brandon's parents (PSU alum, of course)

I can't believe I'm leaving in less than 5 days!!! It's crazy.. this week has been so busy running around to spend time with everyone one last time, but it has been really good. I'm also getting more excited to finally be there, get settled, set up my classroom, and meet the rest of the teachers and students. I promise to post lots of pictures as soon as I get my internet set up. My flight gets in on Monday at 9:45 pm, but I probably won't get to my house until pretty late, so you can think of me Tuesday when I am waking up in Peru!!

thanks! the pictures were taken with my camera, but erin was taking most of them since i was completely distracted.. she's the best, isn't she? but my new camera takes really nice pictures.. mom bought it for me while we were in California! you'd be amazed how spoiled you get when you move far away ;) and yeah, i think i sent you some different ones of the family recently

i will tear up when i think of that great day with friends and family all together giving you the sendoff to remember, but it will be a sweet memory of how much you mean to us and to all those present and those not physically there, but with you nonetheless. What wonderful relationships you have built in your 21+ years Laur! Many prayers will go with you as you leave us on 7/14 and those prayers will continue to hold you up while in Peru.

a. lisa what are you talking about? not sure what you meant, but if moving far away gets you special packages, i should be getting some as well.

well, that's what Laur said...I quote:
"you'd be amazed how spoiled you get when you move far away..."
go check your front porch!

hey now.. i think by 'far away' i meant another CONTINENT.. guess the gifts don't come pouring in when you move out of state (although we see you about the same number of times as everyone will see me)
