And for those who didn't catch the game either, you can read about it here.
And for my other home team.. I will not even try to pretend that I have been an avid Phillies fan all my life, especially compared to my brother Jay (check out his Phillies spirit all the way from LA) But it is really exciting that we are 2-1 in the World Series right now against Tampa Bay. It's been 28 years for the Phillies, so I'd say it's about time. So of course, now that I have moved out of the country, PSU AND the Phillies are having incredible seasons.. hm, maybe they were just waiting for me to leave. Regardless, I'm so proud of my teams!
Okay, now for the long awaited pictures from Colca Canyon. I know it has taken me forever to get all of these posted, but better late than never, right?
Condor!! We got to see about 4 condors, but they left within about the first 5 minutes of all the tourists arriving.
Gorgeous view of the terraces
Lindsay and I on the cliff
While we were on our 2-day tour of Colca Canyon, we stayed in a town called Chivay in a hostal. These Peruvian dancers were our entertainment at the restaurant one night.
And of course, who gets picked out of the whole restaurant to dance with the Peruvian man?? yes, that's right, I got to make a fool of myself. It was slightly embarrassing to say the least, but at least I got to show my PSU spirit and wear a pretty stylish hat :) And for those of you who are convinced I will marry a Peruvian.. please just take note of how I am several inches taller and probably twice the weight of him.
Back in Arequipa.. my favorite picture of Plaza de Armas

that video of psu was crazy! i'm sure it will be even crazier in philly if we win the world series!! i wish you could be here for all these games too, but at least you can follow them from peru :)
your pictures of the canyon are beautiful!!! but i bet mom freaks out at the ones of you next to the cliff :)
i did just that!! Oh my gosh. I hope it isn't as bad as it looks.
Your trip was amazing. Thanks for sharing the pictures w/ us.
8th picture from the last....uh, is that a straight drop???
I believe that it's safe to say that PA teams are well represented - world wide!
okay...but more importantly, i'm with your mom. i 'bout had a heart attack when i saw the pic of you on the wall. don't do that again. that's an order for your old-fuddy-duddy-no-longer-a-risk-taking aunt.
as for who you'll marry. let me remind you of that fact that...
YOU'RE MOM'S TALLER THAN YOUR DADDY!
thanks for the beautiful pics of your trip.
haha i can calm all of your nerves.. that was NOT a straight drop! I didn't even realize how crazy it looked until I posted it. There was land underneath me. The drop was further off and more gradual. I hate to burst all of your bubbles because it looks pretty daring, doesn't it? Darn, I wish I was that adventurous. But no worries, I'm not risking my life way down here :-)
loved all your pictures... you look quite cute dancing with your peruvian guy! not surprising YOU got picked... did you get to keep the hat??
haha no I wish!!
